Digger comes to us from the hills and hollers of rural Tennessee. She’s recently found her way to the big city where she has been “cornfounded” by her discovery of portable outhouses, complete with doors on them. Digger Lou is using her talents to become a musical star. Earlier in life, Digger had met up with one of her idols, Kermit the Frog, by the pond in the woods. She was ethereally charmed by the sound of his banjo. She was so enthralled, she hugged and kissed his neck (but, alas, no prince did appear...). She began her music studies that afternoon under his tutelage. |
After touring the countryside with Kermit for awhile, along with his buddies, Digger decided to shoot for the moon and try her luck in the big city. She will always remain partial to certain shades of green, in honor of her mentor, from whom, incidentally, she also learned a lot about water... So began a new phase in her adventures, which brings us to the present. One of Digger's goals is to create greater awareness for the plight of the abused and ridiculed banjo (ditto for short people...). Her new support group, B.A.N.J.O. (Banjos Are Not A Joke, OKay?), meets monthly to explore ways to elevate the banjo's status to that of a musical instrument....
