Tommy Wonder's Ring Box

Just wanted to thank you for the wonderful piece of craftsmanship.

Everything is just as it should be and I am having a lot of fun with it.

It also reminded me of meeting and translating for Mr. Wonder on several different occasions

while he was visiting Japan. He was a wonderful magician and true gentleman as well.

Thank you again for everything. Best regards, Takehiro Matsutani

The Proper Prop for Tommy's Ring Box Routine

Tommy Wonder and I got to know each other on the early magicians forum MAGIC!. When his Books of Wonder came out he would send magicians to me to make his ring boxes for the card in ring box effect. I always appreciated the association. Then he passed away.

Recently a friend of TWs contacted me to see if I was interested in making some more and I thought about it and decided to give it a go. The knob is a hundred year old button from my collection of odd old stuff you might need some day. I stained the walnut with black coffee and then rubbed a little oil. Its accurate down to the brown felt interior.
