The riverboat, Annabelle Lee, in 1986. We had a record about it in the Top 100 that year. It's one of my favorites.

Welcome Friend and Stranger Alike

If I could thank anyone it would be Paul Cox and especially Bob Jaros for their time, financial backing and loyalty over the years, Joe Delano for his unconditional friendship, Andy May for being the best music partner a guitar player could have, Jeff Raymond for teaching me about the real music business, Michael Rapunzel for his faith in a stranger, Steve Hill for friendship in the early days, Johnny Lee for his encouragement in the Gilley days, Mickey Gilley, the man, for giving me a shot as his piano player and letting me fly his Cessena, my old friend, Ralph Nelson for inspiring me when I was younger to be an artist and for putting me up in LA, Sam Neely and his family for allowing me to represent Sam after his tenure at MCA Records, Naomi Judd and Larry Strickland for taking me in when I first came to Nashville and to Wynonna who gave up her room so I didn't have to sleep on Memphis' bus parked out by the barn on Del Rio Pike and Ashley for making me a birthday cake when she was 11 because I didn't have one (before I met the wonderful Gloria Parmentier), Dave Ponder for being my first real producer and Richie Albright for being my last, Kent Lavoie aka LOBO for resurrecting his record label for my first two or three singles, Richard Robinson for teaching me about the Web and clueing me into the fact that great New Yorkers are the greatest of people, Billy Crittenden for always being here (when I wasn't) George Hedges and Toby Steele for making sure the studio had what it needed when it needed it, Brent Crabb for sticking with me until the studio was done, my constant and loyal friend Greg Kane for teaching me about studio life, art and honesty and among many other things for bringing Hank Cochran, Billy Don Burns, The Amazing Rhythm Aces, Keith Urban and Vernon Rust out here to our humble studio in the hills and Gypsy Carns for becoming such a great friend and recording almost 15 albums and videos with me, not to mention being my friend and partner in so many ventures and Gloria Parmentier for her unfaltering belief. All friends, family and heroes in my eyes,

Now, here near the end I can ask the Great Spirit for the blessings of a good life for you and all others who's paths I've crossed, some encounters more significant, but all significant in their own way. Thank you for everything. Peace.
